Milan Group Murals

At Milan Laser, we remove what doesn’t belong (goodbye unwated hair!) and celebrate what does. When our new headquarters didn’t reflect the Milan brand energy, pride, and conviction, we sprinkled some “Milan Magic” and applied culture straight onto the walls. What started as a blank corporate interior became a bold expression of who we are and the values we live by every day.

Objective

Milan Laser’s new corporate headquarters needed to do more than house teams. It needed to reflect the standards and culture that drive 400 plus clinic locations nationwide. The objective was to translate Milan’s core values into a physical environment that reinforced accountability, pride, and performance every day.

Leadership wanted the space to energize employees and make the brand tangible. The goal was not decorative graphics. The goal was to create a daily, visible reminder of how the organization expects people to think, act, and lead.

This initiative was also about alignment. Headquarters sets the tone for the field. If the brand promise is delivered consistently in clinics, it must first be lived consistently at HQ.

Problem

As construction of the new headquarters wrapped, one issue was obvious. The space functioned well, but it did not feel like Milan. The interiors lacked the Milan Magic, energy, voice, and emotional impact.

The core values existed in documentation and onboarding materials, but they were not present in the physical environment. Without visibility, the values risked becoming abstract statements instead of operational standards. The walls did not reinforce the culture the company worked hard to build.

There was also a missed opportunity at the exterior level. Monument signage needed to signal confidence and permanence while fitting within a corporate office park. The brand required a presence that was minimal but unmistakably strong.

Solution and Process

The strategy was direct. Transform the core values into large scale environmental graphics that would command attention and anchor shared spaces. The values remained intact in language, but their visual expression evolved through bold typography, scale, and brand color.

Each core value became an experiential moment. Consistency in service. Positivity and fun. Do your best work. Trust and follow through. Collaboration. Respect and dignity. Wow customers. Pride in what we do and who we are. These were not reduced or softened. They were amplified.

The creative direction leaned contemporary and empowering. The graphics were intentionally bold so they would not fade into the architecture. The objective was to make people stop, read, and internalize the standards.

Large wall murals became the primary execution. Shared corridors, collaborative spaces, and high visibility zones were selected to maximize exposure. The typography functioned as design, not filler copy.

At the entrance, dimensional logo lettering reinforced brand ownership. The front desk moment was treated as a brand statement, not a reception counter. Employees and visitors immediately understand they are entering the headquarters of a national leader.

Externally, the monument signage was designed from scratch. A clean metal box structure with backlit illuminated lettering created a minimal yet rugged presence. It integrated seamlessly into the office park while projecting strength and credibility.

Results

Environmental graphics are not measured through direct revenue attribution. Instead, impact was assessed through employee sentiment and internal feedback. Prior to installation, engagement scores were strong but steady.

Following the full branding integration, employee sentiment increased significantly. Team members referenced pride, clarity of expectations, and renewed energy within the space. The environment became a reinforcement tool for leadership rather than a neutral backdrop.

Today, the headquarters reflects the same confidence and consistency expected in every Milan clinic. The core values are visible, unavoidable, and integrated into daily workflow. The space now supports culture, performance, and brand alignment at the highest level.
