Running Y Ranch wanted to rebrand themselves. The property was going through an overhaul and they wanted to figure out who they were as a property and how they could communicate those core values to their patrons. The agency brought them through a rigorous branding process and a creative deck was supplied to me with the task of developing their logo, brand style guide, pulling that through a brand document and applying that to their stationery and eventually application on their to be designed website.
For my portion of this project, I began with their logo. The brand was going to be repositioned as this serene location for people to escape the city, take a spa day, play some golf, go hiking etc, so I knew that an elegant and understated logo would work best for the spa and golf and lastly could be pulled through to the hiking offerings.
We developed an elegant and symmetric monogram for the property from hand-drawn letterforms and paired them with natural/muted colors each assigned to a different activity available on the property.
From there I developed the brand guidelines for the property’s new brand, selected typography, logo clear-space, minimum logo sizes, color breakdowns etc and applied these to the new property stationery.
