So I just joined the Reno/Tahoe chapter of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts). I have been talking/thinking about joining AIGA for a long time (about two full years) and have finally bit the bullet and ponied up the scratch to become a member of this quality organization. I am really stoked to now be a contributing member of this community of designers and hope to learn a lot from their educational programs as well as the other professional I will get to meet. Now that I am a member of AIGA, I amĀ  reminded me of this sick ass project I worked on a couple years ago with Stan Byers and Scott Mortimore. I worked on this project while at Rose/Glenn Advertising for the AIGA Las Vegas Work Show winners book, environmental graphics, and the whole enchilada for the show. The theme was the “Big Game Hunt” that all us creatives are on when we enter our work in design award shows. You know how it is, we all want to win best of show, so for this project we took that feeling and ran with it, in the form of camouflage, digital metallic camouflage with “day glo” orange and green ink. This puppy was an intense assault on the ocular senses, and quite a joy to design.
